Rockets

Who knew that tampons would make such a fun toy for a two year old boy but it seems that they do. Cameron seems to love being in the bathroom so, to avoid spending my day from keeping him out of the toilet we have knobs on the door so he can't get in. They have been so great and have kept him from having lots of fun in there. Recently we bought new interior doors (I love them by the way) and got rid of the brown ones. Eric and I, well mostly Eric, were able to switch out all the doors but some how the bathroom one shifted ever so slightly and so the door no longer closes. As much as Eric does all the work he does need me to help steady the door, but we haven't been home at the same time for about a week and so the bathroom has been fair game for Cameron. For the most part he has been pretty good about staying out, only going in to brush his teeth or play with the hair accessories. However the other day I walk in the bathroom to find Cameron sitting on the floor surrounded with Tampons that had be shot out of the applicator like little rockets. He thought it was so fun. I was not amused.

Aspen Grove - Part 4

The thing that my kids were the most excited about with the family reunion was seeing all their cousins. My parents have 19 grandchildren so they had tons of cousins to play with. Natalie slept in a different room with different cousins almost every night. They would tell ghost stories and stay up WAY past their bedtime. They sang together, painted nails, ate together, swam together and made a ton of memories. I am so happy that my kids had a chance to spend so much time with all of these great kids and we miss everyone already!

Then I told the kids they could be silly. It is funny how silly usually means pull on your eyes and stick your tongue out.

Aspen Grove - Part 2

A bunch of us participated in the remote control car Grandprix. The concept was simple, 10 laps around some cones. Now I don't want to brag, but I did come in first in my group. Some people questioned my win saying my laps were not complete, but there is no proof of any of that. Revving up to go

Aspen Grove- Part 1

Last week my family had a reunion in Utah at the BYU Aspen Grove family camp. This was the first time my entire family has been together in 10 years! There was so much for everyone to do, even with the very few breaks from the constant downpours (always seeming the hardest when we would walk to the dining hall). The kids had groups to go to each day with the other kids their age. They swam (even with it being COLD!), did crafts, hiked, learned camp cheers and more. There were also a lot of fun activities for the adults and family activities. We paintballed, fished, raced remote control cars, mini golfed and shot air rifles. Since the camp is only a few minutes from the Sundance Ski Resort (where Eric asked me to marry him) we snuck away for dessert one night at the Tree Room. It was so funny because they sat us at the same table we were at a little over 10 years ago.

A big thanks to my Mom, Dad and Grandma for making this trip possible! We can't wait for the next one!

"You need to get intimate with the butt of the gun" Thanks Tim! I managed to get all my shots on the target and my brother Andrew won the first place prize for the best shooting. I guess he had a slight advantage being a police officer and all.

10 Years!

I can't believe that is had been 10 years. It seems like yesterday and forever ago at the same time. I remember thinking about this day when we celebrated our early anniversaries and thinking how far away it seemed. I would love to say that we have fabulous plans to celebrate this big day, but instead we are working, getting a 2 year old off the counter, having playgroup, getting a 2 year old off the counter, cleaning house, getting a 2 year old off the counter, packing for a family reunion in Utah, enjoying the last day of first grade, last day of the swim session and getting a 2 year old off the counter.

Last Ballet Class

Ella had her last ballet class this past week. Parents were able to stay and watch and it was so fun. They did their warm up routines and then a little dance they had learned over the course of the class. Ella was very focused when she was dancing which was very cute. She has a great memory and really knew her stuff.
