Christmas Best

I can't believe that Christmas was almost a month ago. It seems like we have been going non-stop and the time has flown by. I am slowly trying to get some pictures up to document the events. Here are the kids dressed up for church. I love when I can get two years out of the girls clothes. I feel so thrifty.

Snow Fun

During Christmas break we had the perfect Oregon snow storm. Some flurries started one afternoon rather unexpectedly. Once it started to stick we bundled up and went outside. It continued to pick up and there was enough to build a snowman and have a little snowball fight. Then the next day it was gone. Just right.

Smooth Goodness

I went through a big smoothie phase this pregnancy. The kids loved it. Except Ella could tell when I put too much spinach in and wouldn't drink it. Cameron never seemed to mind.

Color Concerns

Eric has been spending almost every spare minute he has (which is not a lot) working on our master bedroom. It is looking great and we are now ready to pick a paint color. I am not good at this. I can walk into someones house and look and the wall and think "I like that" or "Hmmm, not my taste". What I can't do is walk into Home Depot where the hundreds of little squares are and pick a color that actually looks good when it is more than 2 inches big. So I am asking for help. If you have a color that you like and want to share it with me, leave a comment of the brand of paint and the name. It doesn't even have to be a color you used in your bedroom, just something that looks good on a wall. Thanks, and I am excited so see if I get any responses. At the very least I expect some witty remarks from my sisters.

Christmas Morning

I should have had an idea of how the morning would go by who is missing in this picture. The kids were so excited to see what Santa brought, but Ella refused to take a picture. So as she is hiding around the corner we get one quick shot of Natalie and Cameron. At least it shows Natalie missing her two front teeth for Christmas. We had to make sure that Cameron received plenty of BOY things since he is surrounded by sisters and tends to have a little too much fun with the girl toys and clothes.

He loves his new monkey from Grandma and Grandpa that he can add to his monkey collection.

Santa brought Ella and Natalie a big dollhouse with lots of furniture. I am not sure how we got a picture of Ella smiling because she spent the whole morning crying. She wanted to know where her dollhouse was because this one was for Natalie. I explained that Santa brought it for them to share. Apparently not an acceptable answer. Every gift she opened after that was not the right one and the tears came and the crying continued. Not sure that this is how Christmas morning is supposed to go.

Natalie and Ella got some really cute craft boxes from Nana with tons of fun stuff inside including aprons with their names on them.

The day did get better and later Ella informed us that it was the best day of her life.

You mean the stuff under my bed?

This is what Natalie asked when I told her we could pull out some of the things she and Ella wore as babies because we will be needing all the pink things again! That is right we are having another girl! Natalie came with us to the ultrasound and had a good time looking at her little sister move around. She showed a little disappointment at first when we discovered that Cameron would not be getting a little brother. Ella on the other hand screamed and yelled because it wasn't a boy, but as the day has gone on she seems to have come to terms with the idea. We are just happy that she looks good and everything checks out ok. My doctor said she was measuring a little big due to some long legs.

We haven't really talked names at this point and are always open to suggestions. I am not saying I will use them, but they are always welcome. The mixture of my sisters is tempting, but Rayanna or Joachel might be a cruel punishment.

Funny things said

Natalie was showing Cameron a book about shapes. She pointed to the star and asked him what shape it was. "star," he said. "Do you know what the star stands for," she asked? Cameron shook his head. "Starbucks," Natalie answered. What? That kid has never even set foot inside a Starbucks but that is what she thinks of!

Driving home for picking Ella up from school I asked her a few times to straighted her set up since she had it at a 45 degree incline. She kept ignoring my request so I finally said, "Ella you need to put your seat up or the policeman is going to give me a ticket!" Without any hesitation she responds, "To where?"
